The new students have been progressing well and making solid progress. Indeed, here is just what a few of the students are saying...
"The course is excellent and unique, probably the best I have ever seen anywhere. It does not pretend that you can learn how to play this instrument without work, hard work. But it gives you the option to do that work without killing yourself and to do it in a way that is both effective and rewarding...
The choice of exercises and extra repertoire pieces are ideal. They're not too difficult, but they're challenging and beautiful...
I sent the link of this course to my friend James O'Donnell and he loves it. He's got his son using it now. Please know that James O'Donnell is a professional musician...a lifelong jazz artist who is famous in Detroit and will probably be famous all over the country soon. He said himself that your course is excellent...
I've never really been able to spend as much time and energy as I would have liked on the guitar just because of life, etc...you know, those kinds of things that get in the way. But now I am so excited to be a part of your site...
I would not hesitate for one moment to recommend your course to anyone. It is university quality. I have taken lessons from a couple of college music teachers for guitar, notably Lee Dyament, and Matt Parmelee, and also from jazz/blues musician Paul Bouillet whom I loved dearly and who passed away in 2011. All of those fine musicians would have loved your course as well. You are making a wonderful contribution to the world of classical guitar!. I'd say you are pretty much state-of-the-art and I'd recommend your course to anyone who's serious about learning how to play this amazing instrument.
"I absolutely love how it
is structured in each lesson. I feel it is just the right amount of content and I most definitely do not hold myself back if a piece needs a lot more attention. Moving forward helps keep things interesting for me, but I never abandon a difficult piece. I simply go back and practice it. This course is making such a difference to my progress based on my own satisfaction level and at the end of the day it is me I want to please
And here's a recent comment I got about my general guitar site...
"I just wanted to say how much appreciate your music and instructional website in my guitar learning adventure.
I picked up a classical guitar in 2008 and started learning from scratch. Being self-taught, I started learning from a book and then turned to online resources. There were not many good beginner classical resources online at least back then - and so when I came across your site, it was life
changing for me! I loved the simple arrangements with instructional comments and especially the fingering tips. Oh, and the tabs! Even though I can read basic music notation, the tabs along with the standard notation, made it so much easier and faster to learn. That's when I realized that learning guitar, even classical, does not have to be so hard!
I think the resources on your website are the best ones out there for a beginner guitarist and I felt very lucky I found them! Who knows if I would ever learn anything and still play if it wasn't for you."
O.K. That's it for today. I hope to see you in the portal soon to take benefit from the convenience of all these lessons and materials in one place AND getting as much satisfaction, enjoyment and focused direction as you need!
