triplets

by Helen
(France)

This is not so much a question as (I hope) an answer. I had difficulty getting the three notes of a triplet to sound the same.

I live in France and have to take my lessons in French. My teacher said - it is easy.

Just use the French word for triplet triolet. That did not help. Instead, I tried to find an English word where the three syllables are stressed equally.

Not easy. Take banana. We all stress the second. However, I think I have found one and want to share it. It is teacosy. So all the time I am playing triplets, I am thinking teacosy, teacosy teacosy.

Hoping this helps.
