The Four Maestros.
by: Matt

And what of Sanz and much later, Tarrega?
Sanz drew from proud spanish musical heritage, and Tarrega certainly gave the "Spanish Guitar" a repertoire of its own. Along with Sor and Segovia, they have catapulted the guitar and its repertoire to what it is today.

Sor Studies
by: Patricia

I love the Sor studies...they're among the best.

I love working with them to improve technical ability...and I particularly love the Sor Study in B minor just because it was the one that Bream first played before an audience, when he was young, which began his trip to fame.

All that aside, it's just plain beautiful....and if you can play it, and play it well, it is a technical accomplishment, simple as it may be.

Ah, Sor ...
by: Phil

Sometimes the bane of my life, learning those impossible studies, but every note of Sor that you play will make you a better guitarist. And a better musician - because, above all, everything he writes, even the most technical study, is pure music.
