What are the parts and notes on the acoustic guitar?

Hi,

A look at this page might help you to learn and know the notes.

And for the parts of an acoustic guitar look here...

I hope this is helpful.

Kind regards,
Trevor M.

Duration Of Practice Time
by: Jratwen

Thank You for your generosity in the materials and information you provide through this site.

I am a beginning guitarist working through my first instruction book. Often when practicing I will continue on to the point of getting a bit rummy, due to my desire to accomplish a particular piece I am working on.

In your experience do you think continuing on at thi point helps or hurts you to develop as a guitarist?

On the pro side, it seems this requires one to dig a bit deeper and become more disciplined. On the con side, perhaps you are getting a bit sloppy at this point and at risk of developing bad habits, meaning you're better to lay off and start again fresh after half an hour or so.

In your experience, which approach do you believe best helps one to develop as a player?

Hi Jratwen,

I believe firmly in taking a break when you've reached the point where you call it as being "rummy". I don't believe at this point you are really taking anything in and could indeed be starting to practice bad habits.

Leave it and come back fresh would be my advice but keep your level of persistence going over the long term because that is what will help you to improve over time.

Kind regards,
Trevor M.
