Request for feedback on La Patrie Etude

by Laurie
(NY)

Hello!

I am considering the La Patrie Etude as my first classical guitar (without the pickup).

I've looked at some reviews on the Internet, but does anyone from this site have experience with this particular model that they could share with me?

Thank you,
Laurie

The Etude is an absolute steal in the world of guitars. The fit and finish are beautiful, and it has terrific sound balance- a nice warm tone along with pure, clear highs.

It has a very light finish which contributes to it's ability to project sound... but the trade off is that the guitar scratches and absorbs oil and dirt fairly easily. Make sure your hands and arms are clean, and watch your bracelets/rings/belt buckles.

Buy a humidifier (PlanetWaves makes good passive ones for about $16), keep your strings clean, and this guitar will keep you smiling for many, many years.

I have owned an Etude for ten years now and it still gets better with time. It ages very well.
It is a great choice.

A very good choice of guitar, it will last from beginner to advanced. The quality for the price is outstanding, and the tone is superb.

I can highly recommend this guitar, I have owned one for 7 months now, and I am still very impressed with it. I have the semi version, the pickup works very well, but I tried both in the shop. An outstanding choice!
