Reading Classical Music

I'm OK with normal notes and most Italian instructions but on some music I see 1,2,3,4 circled - Does that mean "Repeat" or what? - Larry

Hi Larry,

In classical guitar the numbers inside a circle mean what particular string you play the note on e.g

1 = the 1st string (E string),

2 = the 2nd string (B string) etc.
