Not really classical guitarists but really good...

by David
(Chambéry, France)

Two guitarists I came across quite recently on youtube : Andy Mckee and Peo Kindgren.

The former isn't a "classical" guitarist but I thought he was worth a mention on this site. He plays on a folk guitar and other stringed guitar-like instruments such as his "Harp guitar". He uses hammer-ons and pull-offs to great effect and also uses the guitar body as a percusion instrument. All at the same time!! Wish I could do that. You can see him perform his own music on various internet sites. Mind-blowing!

Peo Kindgren (aka Per-olov Kindgren) is a swedish guitarist I discovered on the internet. I was really impressed with his ability to convey the emotion of particular piece of music. On a more fun note, he also converts modern music onto the classical guitar. On particular example is "Nothing else matters" by Metallica, which is blasted out of an electric guitar. Kindgren performs this piece on a classic guitar - its really nice. He also composes his own music.
