My three favorites!

by RJ Sauve
(Cameron, NC)

Ida Presti- For the clarity of her tones and the brightness of the coloring in her phrasing. I've also listened to some of her recordings when she was only about 14 years old. Wow. A prodigious talent! I can't help but feel sorry for her though for the way her father "manipulated" her fingers from the time she was a baby.

Andres Segovia- Such warmth.....yes. He's the first Maestro I heard play this instrument. I fell in love with the Classical Guitar because of him. I also find the Tarrega School's Right hand technique very interesting to study.

Emelio Pujol- Great depth of feeling and musicality.

Xuefei Yang - O.K. I just couldn't leave her out. I love listening to her play; she makes it seem so effortless, dare I say easy? But we know better right?
