Your Classical Guitar Input Heremastering time signatures of musical pieces
by von katindoy
I know what 4/4 is vs. 3/4 and vs 2/4 but once there are several notes per scale, say a whole note with several quarter notes, eight notes, dotted half notes, etc. I'm unable to figure out how to "evenly" play the notes the way the composer intended. What's the best book you can recommend to help me? I'm quite good with "oido" by the way. Meaning, I can figure out how to play the notes if I've heard the song or piece before. But this gift is completely useless if I'm studying a piece I haven't heard before. Hope you can help me. Thank you, Sir. Von Katindoy Hi Von, Have a look at these free theory worksheets... There are some pages that explain the different time signatures plus there's lots of practice exercises too! Kind regards, Trevor M.
