Dreams of a World

by Scott M.
(Rochester, NY US)

Sharon Isbin's CD "Dreams of a World" is one of my favorite classical guitar recordings. If you do not own this one, do yourself a favor and add it to your collection! It is no wonder she won a Grammy Award for this spectacular recording.

I am absolutely transported to another dimension when I listen to "Appalachian Dreams" (which I believe she co-wrote with John Duarte). She also has my favorite interpretation of "Julia Florida" by A. Barrios Mangore on her CD "Journey to the Amazon", another must have in my opinion.

I also love the Assad brothers. Arguably the best classical guitar duo of our time. I have also recently seen Julian Breem playing J. S. Bach Sonata no. 1 in G Minor "Fuga" on You Tube....phenomenal!
