1. NewsHi to all new and old subscribers!Welcome to the July 2006 issue of Great Guitar Tips. I'm about two thirds the way to saving for my new video camera to make better videos for the site. I've been using the video function of my ordinary digital camera to date so I apologize for the video quality though it has served me well thus far. I have been a little hesitant to upload more videos to my site because I really didn't want to make it too "top heavy" and slow the loading time down. But the Guitar God's have stepped in! I have found a little facility called YouTube.com where I'm able to embed the videos in my site after uploading to their site and thus play videos through but not from my site. This means I'll be able to retrospectively make and display all the music that I've given in this ezine over the last couple of years. I'll make it available to subscribers of this ezine only so please don't give the address away when it's time. Speaking of time, it'll take me some months to do that after I buy my video camera but work will begin soon! In other news there's two pieces of fr/ee music this month. There are two great little Carulli waltzes for your playing pleasure. I've also added another new lesson with PDF & video to the fr/ee lessons page. See link below. In a new feature I've been selecting interesting classical guitar related articles for your edification and interest. For example, what famous sexy television personality played the classical guitar surprising well and indeed was a pupil of Segovia? Answer?... See the list below :)) To round this edition off I've got some more musical definitions you may find useful.
So let's not waste a moment. I hope you enjoy this month's newsletter. Let's go!
2. New Addition to Lessons PageThis little Fernando Sor study in C Major is great for developing several basic classical guitar techniques whilst at the same time helping the beginning guitar player to develop concentration and memory over a longer period. (Scroll down to No. 10)... free guitar lessons page...3. Classical Guitar News Items & ArticlesI've been selecting some great classical guitar related articles from around the web that you may find interesting.Note: If they don't show as a clickable link just copy and paste them into the browser and hit return. I've put an asterisk on the more relevant ones so I hope you enjoy them. Some of them are really surprising and yes, you'll be able to get the answer to the question about that sexy guitarist!!!... ** http://www.nhandan.com.vn/english/culture/290706/culture_kim.htm ** http://www.music4games.net/Features_Display.aspx?id=101 ** http://www.commercialappeal.com/mca/arts/article/0,1426,MCA_542_4874151,00.html ** http://www.nysun.com/article/36653?page_no=3 ** http://www.vaildaily.com/article/20060712/AE/107120045 ** http://www.northjersey.com/page.php?qstr=eXJpcnk3ZjczN2Y3dnFlZUVFeXk0NSZmZ2JlbDdmN3ZxZWVFRXl5Njk1NzY1NCZ5cmlyeTdmNzE3Zjd2cWVlRUV5eTM= http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/entertainment/15158107.htm

5. This Month's Fr/ee MusicAnd now for the music! This month's music is two little waltzes by Carulli. Don't underestimate them if you are a beginner because Carulli always required of you to play the music he wrote with taste, accuracy and great style.
